REMIX: Van Halen – Hollywood Bowl 2015-10-04

This is a sad one. The final Van Halen show. Ever. It’s bittersweet because they’re playing great. Even Dave sounds better than he did on other shows this tour. And the previous tour. These are the last time these songs will ever be played live by Eddie and Alex Van Halen.

I thought this was a fitting end to Van Halen. They had a great setlist. Yeah, I would’ve done it differently, but still, it was nice to have songs like “Dirty Movies”, “Light Up The Sky”, and “Feel Your Love Tonight” in the set. David Lee Roth, while not sounding like his 1982 days, sounded better than he usually did this tour. It was nice to hear him reminisce about past times. I thought “Dance The Night Away” was magical, especially when after all they’ve gone through, Dave says “I said it earlier, but just so you know I mean it Ed, the high points of my life have been spent onstage working with you and Al.”

Get it here.
