The Sleeveens rolled into town for an early show at the Tower Bar on Saturday May 31st. They’re a fun hard hitting kick ass rock band from Nashville (the singer being from Ireland; I should’ve taken him to the Ould Sod for a pint!). People like to call them “pub rock”, but sometimes that term is used in an insulting manner. So as much as I don’t mind bands that are labelled as such, I’m just not going to use that term. They were great and a lot of fun. Some cool covers including The Undertones (“Get Over You”) and Jim Carroll Band (“People Who Died”).
