Show Review: Wyld Gooms at Ken Club Oct 19 Part 1

The Wyld Gooms came down from Los Angeles to play a “Ghoul Frenzy” garage party at the Kensington Club in San Diego last Saturday. Also on the bill were the Night Times (also from LA), the Junkys, and The Unclaimed. Garage rock heaven!

I’m breaking this into two parts because I took so many pictures and they came out pretty good. Don’t want to use them all up in one post!

Everyone knows I love the Wyld Gooms. I even have them pictured on my business card for this very website! This was a costume party and so the Wyld Gooms all dressed up as Wilma Flintstones. Or cavewomen. Something like that. It didn’t matter, because they were having a lot of fun, looked great, and (most importantly) sounded great. Wild garage rock with great songs. Totally energetic and even more animated than usual, even falling down (almost on me!) a couple times tonight. Their name really suits them. They brought some singles down, which I definitely made sure to get one. Still waiting for a full length album! They NEED to get one out!
